Potassium Hydroxide (Caustic Potash)

Potassium Hydroxide is used in making natural liquid soaps.  As it is considered a hazardous material, Potassium Hydroxide comes with many warnings!

When handling Potassium Hydroxide, always wear gloves!  When mixed with even a drop of moisture, Potassium Hydroxide can cause nasty burns on your skin. In addition, you should only use Potassium Hydroxide when wearing eye protection, wearing a long sleeved shirt, and in a properly ventilated area.
