Performance Results:
Colour: Produces a brilliant, colour in clear bases. Colour is not 100% clear and will cloud clear bases. A pastel colour is produced in opaque (white) bases.
Product pH: Color will become gray with high pH bases, such as cold process soap.
Colour Fading: This dye is light sensitive. Soaps may fade if left in direct sunlight or artificial lighting.
Colour Migration: When compared to FD & C Dyes, lake dyes are less likely to migrate between layers of mp soap. If product design has layered colours, over use of this dye will cause coloured layers to migrate or “bleeding” between layers.
Solubility: Dispersible in Oil
DIRECTIONS: This powder disperses best in liquid oil and oil based products. This powder can be used in water based products if first dissolved in liquid glycerin. For dry products, add desired amount of powder to dry ingredients. Incorporate colour to formula slowly, using amount as desired. Adding this color to a white base will produce a beautiful pastel colour. Adding this colour to a clear base will produce a darker true colour.
TIPS: Using too much colour may cause staining. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.
